Torres del Paine
Touching the ice
Grey Glacier
Overview
This excursion runs for approximately three hours, operating twice daily. The first part of the trip involves taking a speedboat for around 20 minutes, from our Grey Base Camp, to arrive at the Nunatak Island. Once we arrive at the island the clients will hike for around an hour over rock to arrive at a plateau where we can appreciate a complete view of the Grey Glacier.
The Guide in charge of this excursión is a geologist who will immerse you in information about the attractive formation and glacial processes. Once we arrive at the lookout there will be time to take photos, and each client will receive a snack and a hot drink to recover, before hiking back down to the speedboat and motoring another 20 minutes back to our Grey Base Camp.
