In this excursion we will explore a very wild area that due to its remoteness and hard conditions only brave sailors use to sail. We will navigate until we reach the most southern point of land in the American continent and we will be in very similar conditions as Hernando de Magallanes or Sir Thomas Cavendish the corsair who named the place "Cape Froward".
7:00 - We leave early in the morning from Punta Arenas, there is an hour of driving to the point where we will start paddling. We have a zodiac boat for support and safety. In 2 hours of paddling we will arrive at the light house of San Isidro, we will pass by it. We will continue until the Aguila Bay, where we will prepare the lunch. After lunch we continue along the coast to the south west until we reach San Nicolas Bay.
16:00 - San Nicolas Bay we will camp, there we will have time to relax and explore a little this magic land and then have dinner.
9:00 - We will continue advancing and we will begin to face a more unprotected coast, beginning to see these changes as we approach to the end of the American continent. We will do our camp at Cabo Froward.
9:00 - We will ascend the hill where the Cross of the Oceans will mark the union of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Then we will stop for Lunch.
16:00 - In the afternoon we begin our return aboard the zodiac boat, until we reach the place where we started. We will celebrate our expedition with some beer. After that, we start our return to Punta Arenas.More...
